Ross Sermons is a professional musician, having toured and recorded for the last 30 years. His music can liven any remote corner with a lifetime’s experience in the tradition of folk, authentic blues and country blues. His vast, multi-genre repertoire is played with accomplished bottleneck slide and fingerpicking built on blues and roots, and delivered with generosity, enthusiasm and charm.
Ross was born in North Carolina near the home of the great Doc Watson, and was soon steeped in southern blues, bluegrass, and soul. A lifelong love of acoustic music took hold in the ‘70s with guitar playing inspired by the 1920s and 30s blues of Mississippi John Hurt and Reverend Gary Davis.
Ross has played in his own band and alongside many well-know artists; also touring the United Kingdom, Holland, Germany, the Czeck Republic, Ireland and Australia.
